A Dynamic Campaign

The War For Oil begins in 6 days

The War For Oil campaign is a monthly feature of missions for The Chain of Command website. Each month we will produce a new episode of the War For Oil, finally building to a complete campaign. Its some thing totally new to OFP and we look to input from you as to how the campaign should go. So even we don't know how this campaign will end.

With Believable Characters

This will not be a black and white issue; good guys will turn bad and evil characters will be redeemed. The story is going to be complex and not necessarily a happy ending. What you might think of as a happy ending at the start may become a nightmare when it arrives.

And your Ideas

We have the first six missions scripted but beyond this we are open to your ideas. We are looking for good narratives that help the audience suspend their disbelief. So it has to be believable. We want input from you in the following ways:-

Battle Reports

What your experience of the missions was, casualty reports, amazing or stupid AI acts, how you completed the mission. These battle reports will form the background to the next mission.

Battle Plans

Then we want you ideas how should we go; what area of War For Oil will the next mission be about. These will all be collated to decide the course of the campaign.

News From the Front

Another way you will be able to input will be by creating cut scenes. In fact a cut scene or Intro or Outro is the one way a single person can have a big influence on the narrative. Or if you want just produce a news item on what happened in the last mission using radio or TV reporters cut scene. So we are not just looking to make it a voted campaign. Contributors will of course be listed in the credits.

This is not just our campaign its yours.
